The Vashon Island Quilt Guild was formed in 1981 and in 2007 officially re-organized itself as a non-profit corporation for educational and charitable purposes within the meaning of section 501(c) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The purpose of the Guild is to promote interest in and encourage participation in the art of quilting. Efforts are made to coordinate the talents and interests of all members and to maintain a club for their social enjoyment.
Two meetings are held monthly as follows:
3rd Tuesday of the month (except December when it is the 2nd Tuesday), 10AM at the Presbyterian Church and 1st Thursday, 7PM, usually at the Vashon Community Care Center.
Refreshments are served at the daytime meetings and "Show & Tell" is always part of the agenda. Members take turns as meeting hostesses.
